I had red from newspaper, Selangor government had on Dec 20 declared its plans to make every Saturday a plastic bag-free day, but many shoppers were caught unaware of the declaration.
Effective on January 2010, a ‘No Plastic Bag’ day would be observed every Saturday and retailers and shopping centres throughout the state to reduce use of plastic bags. Therefore, It better for the Shopper to make a Habit of using less plastic bags and bringing your own bags when shopping.But if customers who insist on plastic bags will have to pay between 10 sen or 20 sen per bag.
Soooo.......I got my own recycle bag, bought it in the curve(flea market). It comes neatly folded in a palm size pouch. A small hook is attached to the bag to avoid the pouch from getting lost and it made of light polyester. There are a lot of choices and pattern.And I bought one for myself, it only RM10.
